DOMINO is a private, invite-only social challenge app operated by Risto Caissie ("DOMINO", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information DOMINO handles, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information DOMINO handles
DOMINO may handle:
- Account information, including your email address, display name, username, and account identifier.
- Private-group information, including memberships, invite-based group activity, challenge progress, and DOMINO history.
- Challenge proof that you choose to submit, including text, photos, or videos.
- A push-notification token if you allow notifications.
- Technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as authentication/session information and server logs maintained by service providers.
How information is used
We use information to create and authenticate accounts; operate private groups and challenge chains; store challenge proof and reveal eligible completed proof to the intended private group after a chain ends; send service notifications; prevent abuse; process reports; provide support; and maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the service.
DOMINO does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for targeted advertising.
Service providers
DOMINO currently relies on Supabase for authentication, database services, private file storage, and server-side functions; Expo for app infrastructure and push-notification delivery; and Apple when you install or test the iOS app through Apple services such as TestFlight or the App Store.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices as needed to provide their services.
Challenge proof and group visibility
DOMINO groups are invite-only. During an active chain, other group members can see progress but are not intended to see another player's hidden challenge or proof before the reveal rules allow it. When a chain ends, eligible completed proof may become available to members of that private group in the reveal/history experience.
If you block another player, DOMINO hides that player's proof from you and prevents a newly joined group from placing the two of you together while the block remains. Existing group membership is not automatically removed by blocking.
Notifications and device permissions
You can decline notification, camera, photo-library, and microphone permissions. Some proof features may not work without the relevant permission. DOMINO requests microphone access only when video capture requires audio.
Retention and deletion
Account and group data are retained while needed to provide DOMINO, maintain security, and meet legitimate operational or legal obligations. Group owners can delete groups they own. You can permanently delete your account from You → Delete my account in the app.
The account-deletion flow is designed to remove your account, app records that cascade with that account, groups you own, and associated private proof files that would otherwise become orphaned. Some limited information may be retained if required by law, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution obligations.
Reports, blocking, and safety
Users can report revealed proof and block another player. Reports may be reviewed to enforce the Community Guidelines. Repeated or serious violations may result in content removal, access restrictions, or account action.
Children
DOMINO is not directed to children under 13. Do not use DOMINO if applicable law requires parental or guardian consent that you do not have.
Security
DOMINO uses access controls, private storage, signed media access, and server-side authorization rules intended to limit content to eligible users. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You can update profile information in the app, leave groups you do not own, delete groups you own, block users, report proof, sign out, or delete your account. For privacy questions or requests, email Risto@madebycaissie.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as DOMINO changes. The effective date at the top will be updated when material changes are made.
